My second project for Vlashent Sata.

The concept for this project started in the summer on 2022, shot in October and published on March of 2023. While this was a comissioned project, it was not a typical one. Vlashent trusted me with everything, from the concept to the location. The 3D visuals were created in Cinema 4D, rendered with Redshift and composed in After Effects.

This was a very challenging and fun project to work on. Mangalem 21 is the biggest apartment complexes project in Albania, realised by OMA architecture studio based in Rotterdam, Netherlands.

Our goal was to create a short and welcoming story featuring the main architectural characteristics of this project.

We spent a long time creating all the sets and furniture by hand. In order to add more details in our compositions, we decided to use some 3D elements and green-screen in a couple of shots.

Lost in the mental illusions he escapes through changes.
The story is based on notes from different places, memories and times. Numerous sets were required to be built. A whole room was used to build the neighborhood set. The street is made of real concrete. Everything else was built from scratch using materials like cardboard, paper, clay, foams, wood and paint. A wired mini system was build to light the neighborhood, interior and exterior house lights using LED bulbs. CGI was used to create sky, stars, light rays and other natural elements.
